The Dead Run story began with a tale about my great-grandfather Johnie Hand back in the 40’s.
In Friona, Texas, my pampaw Johnie entered a four-mile relay horse race. Every other team had four riders and four horses. Johnie had one horse, Skeeter, that he bred and trained himself.
He and Skeeter completed the whole race alone, and won.
That story stuck. Not just as family history, but as a standard. When Taylor Hoover and I started Dead Run, we built it around that same belief: you do not need noise or excess to win. You need grit, preparation, and the willingness to run your own race.
I’m Karson Nance, and alongside my business partner Taylor Hoover, we set out to make a simple promise real: build a great pair of jeans, build them here, and build them right.
We do not chase trends or design for seasons.
We focus on one thing and do it well.
Our straight leg, raw denim jean fit right in the seat and fall clean over boots and look great. They are built to break in with you, fade with miles, and carry your story over time.
Every pair is handcrafted in El Paso, Texas using small runs of salvaged American denim, fabric left over from larger industrial productions that would otherwise sit unused. We believe in making something lasting out of what is already here.
Dead Run stands for independence, craftsmanship, and timeless design. It is inspired by the Southwest, working hands, open roads, and long sunsets.
This brand is not about being louder.
It is about being steady.
And when the moment comes — running it dead out.
Built with intention.
Worn with purpose.
